You make sure you have the bankroll to survive the downswings. Seriously, this is why people are advised to be properly bankrolled. If you don't have 300 BB's for your game, you run the risk of getting killed by a normal downswing. If you can shrug off a 300 Bet downturn, then you won't ever have to worry...probably [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

This forum has a search function and I suspect there are hundreds of these "what do I do during a downswing?" posts. So forgive me if I don't write an essay in response to your inquiry.

Not just that, but you're right. I've learned this lately. It was actually well put in the 'pros commentary' of the new Rounders DVD when Helmuth says something to the effect of "Don't try to rush it, just wait another 45 minutes until you've got the stone nuts and get your money back." Of course it was better put how he said it, but still, I think I got it close enough to be helpful.
