Default Should this play be made?

blinds $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Texas Hold'em
9 players

Hero in SB

Seat 1: UTG ($11.35 in chips)
Seat 9: Hero ($11.60 in chips)
Seat 10: BB ($24.75 in chips)

Hero's cards: Ac Qc

UTG: Raise ($1)
Hero: Call ($0.90)
BB : Call ($0.75)

*** FLOP *** : [ 6c Qs Kc ]

Hero: Check
BB: Check
UTG: Bet ($1.50)
Hero: Raise ($10.60) All-in

I bet $11.35 and stood to gain $22.55, if called.

I think 3-handed and facing a 1/2 pot bet from the preflop button raiser there is a good chance that you have the best hand right now. If you do in fact have the best hand, there are only a few cards that can come off that hurt you. After thinking about it I might try to get more off of him by checking and calling all the way down and making some sort of play if I make my flush.

The problem w/ checkraising all-in is that you wont get a call from a worse hand and you wont get a fold from a better hand. So youre playing to hit your draw and double up. This doesnt seem like the correct strategy for live NL. I am fairly new to NL myself so I may be wrong here. I'm curious to see some other replies.

I wouldn't be all in with second best hand! I might make some med size bets and hope to take it down! If he does have a king with small kicker he will probably let the aggressor keep betting into him fearing a bigger kicker! If I bet and he pushes me all in then it's an easy fold for me! Just at these limits you will find lots of people playing Ace anything or K anything! I'm a TA-A in pokertracker if that helps yea as far as how I play

why not be all-in with second best hand, when you have so many outs and a chance of both other players folding or both calling?

Your right you have 15 outs and on the flop your a 54% favorite and on the turn your a 34% favorite on making your hand. I guess maybe it boils down to style of play! I hate going all in on second best pair and a draw! That's not to say that I haven't gone all in. If someone goes all in then I will look at pokertracker and for help and go off any information that i have gathered up to this point. To make my decision on whether or not that I will call.

Just do a search on Pats forum he has a beginners guide =) and there's lots of info on this forum about it also under the software section. Not to mention there is a program that you can get that will get your hand histories for you as you play so you don't have to email UB for them! I think there is a link on the top of the forum for that program.
