Amount of time to make a decision
In a home game situation, typically PL or NL cash game with about on average $100 buy in, what is a reasonalbe amount to time for a person to make a decision during a hand?
There is an individual that plays in a home game I frequent and once or twice a night will literally take 10 to 15 minutes to make a decision. This person will stare the opponent down and try to get them to talk etc... Half the time it doesn't even involve a large pot but ruins the flow of the game. Is there a rule that exists in a B&M cardroom? What do you think is a fair time (in fairness to this person, the game is usually PL or NL so it's not a simple call)? |

Re: Amount of time to make a decision
It takes me 7 seconds. 8 if I stare down.

Re: Amount of time to make a decision
Start using a clock. Allow like 30 seconds, and if someone needs more than that they have to call time. When the time is up they fold/check their hand automatically.
