Seems the pros all favor the operators of the site...

The cons all affect the users...

I prefer the frames; it was also possible before to view the site w/o frames for those who chose.

I immediately assumed it was to stop us from avoiding ads. And I don't really mind, my eyes are blind to banners.

I preferred the two frames also, but feel that it is a minor inconveniences considering the value of content contained in these forums.

I personally hate frames, but the way 2+2 used to be was one of the best way to do them. As a workaround: In most browsers (OS's?), shift+scrollwheel will go a page at a time if you need to get back up in a hurry.

edit: Whoops, it doesn't in windows/firebird. NEVERMIND!
