Pocket Queens final table short stacked...
So 3 tables of 30...in NYC room. Final table just begining. Blind 300-600. I have @ T3,000 average is around T8,000. UTG, I call BB. Get raised by another short stack...re raised by chip leader who has been stealing the past 3 hands. I pushed all in. End up being against two people with AQ...and lose the hand....Any thoughts..should i have folded the ladies...
First post ever...Thanks! |

Re: Pocket Queens final table short stacked...
Even though you left out a lot of important information such as payouts and stacksizes, I would have to say no. Getting your money in as a huge favorite with a chance to triple up is always desirable.

Re: Pocket Queens final table short stacked...
You shouldn't have just called UTG. This is an easy all-in.

Re: Pocket Queens final table short stacked...
Especially considering that the tourney only pais top 3 you clearly need to make a big move to get to the money here. I would have pushed first in with the QQ's but If the chipleader and others at the table were going to try to steal with many hands then limp raising all in is a great way to trap them and is the best way to play the hand. You want to get all in here and try to triple up, you exactly got what you wanted and got unlucky but that doesnt mean you shouldnt play it this time everytime.

Re: Pocket Queens final table short stacked...
I was thinking about pushing all in...but i figured the chip leader would raise me with just about anything. Maybe if I went all in....i would have at least won the blinds and still have been playing.
