On a couple other forums, there was a link to apachepokerchips.com saying that Paulson was coming out with a chip to sell to the public. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Word is there will 3-4 different sets available to the public by early next year. The Apache set is one of them (though they have changed to a "Hold'em" design that is supposed to look a lot like the Chipco "Rounders" design due to copyright reasons). Also, there is an eBay seller that I believe said he was having 2 different sets made. Not sure if there are other sets coming or who will have them to offer. The mold for the home chips is different now though; it has two hat + cane marks and says "PAULSON CHIPS" twice in between.

From the site "Because of the Apache Gold casino in Arizona we can't do an Apache Casino chip"
Pretty odd considering they already sell Apache Casino Chipco's... - Fins |

Paulson probably makes the Apache Gold Casino chips, so won't make Apache Casino chips. The other Apache Casino chips are Chipco.

BTW - anyone fascinated by the timing of this?
Step 1: BG buys Paul-Son from the Endy family Step 2: They announce that as of December, 2002, they're no longer in the retail business Step 3: The Endys set up Blue Chip, in part to sell to the retail market Step 4: Almost two years to the day after their announcement, the company formerly known as Paul-Son re-enters the retail market, albeit indirectly. I kinda wonder if there was a 2 year non-competition (in the home market) clause in the buy-out. |

They need to sell to the public. It is foolish not to. They could sell STOCK Paulson chips and make a killing. Don't even bother with custom orders, just use traditional colors, with good edge spot combinations. I've e-mailed them about this twice and got no response.
