This is a hand that needs to be played extremely aggressively on the flop. You must raise, and if you are 3-bet, I like the idea of capping.

You should show this level of aggression for two reasons: you may have the best hand, and if you don't, this line will allow you a cheaper road to showdown on the more expensive streets.

Default Re: tough flop 15/30/ how i played it

Thanks for the responses. I called the flop and so did the
the loose player behind. Blank hit on the turn, small blindbet, I raised it.... mr loose re-raised. small blind agonized and called. I released it. loose player wins with
K8 diamonds.small blind had AK
My dilema was that i was thinking a raise on the flop would have gotten me out cheaper, but i guess not by much.
Thanks for the input.

I raise the flop just to see how the bettor reacts. I might bet the turn, though I would probably check with the intention of calling a bet on the river. The PF raiser could easily hold KK w/ a huge redraw so, it makes sense to bet the turn if the bettor smooth called your raise. I think he would 3-bet a big pair with a redraw on the flop.

call the flop. the sb is going to 3bet with so many hands here, most of which beat you or are drawing very live against you and you will have no idea where you stand. unless you really feel comfortable calling this hand down after getting 3bet on the flop this is an easy call.
