Be aware of 2 7 offsuit

Last night in our home game both me and FSUplayer got smoked by 2 7 offsuit. We introduced the rule at the beginning of the night stated anyone who wins with 2 7 gets 5$ from everybody at the table. Seems pretty cool considering you get about 40$ if you win with it. I remained hesitant about it while other guys went Gus Hanson on our ass.

I have about $550 in front of me and am dealt K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I make it $7 and proceed to get raised to $20 by a guy with about $500 in front of him. I call hoping to bust him on a low board. The fact that he looks like a penguin only increases my rage.
Flop: 2 7 6 rainbow
My first mistake comes when I check the flop and allow penguin boy to bet $25. I checkraise it to $100 straight. He thinks for a couple minutes and pushes $350 more all in with his gay ass flipper hands. I fold and the bozo shows 2 7 offsuit. I lose the pot and have to give him another $5 on top of that.
Fsuplayer got rocked when he raised to $8 with AKo and got reraised to $20 by a guy with more grease in his hair than John Travolta. He calls.
Flop: A 2 10 rainbow.
He checks and the guy bets $40 with about $220 left behind him. He calls
Turn: 7
Fsuplayer checks and greaseball bets about $75. Fsuplayer checkraises him all in and the guys thinks about for a couple of minutes and says "I think we have the same hand." He calls and flips over none other than 2 7 offsuit. Hahahahahaha!!! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
