10-20 bellagio
10-20 hand at bellagio. In the SB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 limpers I call BB checks, 6 players, $120 pot. Flop 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I check, BB bets $100, figure him for a strong 8 or weak 9, called a loose player and one semi-tight solid player, i C/R making it 450 to go, BB folds, loose player folds, last player calls. At this point i put him on either either 10 J or spade draw. turn card is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] at this point there $1220 in the pot, i bet out 350, player folds, was this bet too much, should i have checked to him, or did he just read my hand well and put me on a boat when the board paired

Re: 10-20 bellagio
I really don't like the c/r here. Bottom two (though it feels pretty nice when in the blinds you flop 2 pair) is not a great hand. What do you do if someone pushes? Can you give your reasons for the c/r? Also, if your miracle card doesn't come and a spade,7 or Q comes, what do you do now that you've created this big pot?
The way it went, I think you check the turn and hope your opponent hits his draw on the river. You then lead out hope to get reraised (if you're positive no 88 or 99 is out). The $350 on the turn into this pot just feels weird, and your opponent seems to know that his draw is no longer good. |
