Default Quad-City Poker Rooms

I'm going to be in Davenport visiting relatives for about a week around Christmas time and would like to make my first visit to a poker room that actually requires me to leave my living room. I know there are two boats on the Iowa side and one on the Illinois side...anyone have any info or general comments on poker rooms there? Do any of them even have poker rooms? Thanks in advance.

I've been to one on the Iowa side, Isle of Capri. They have a poker room on the top level. Can't speak for the other ones. Your best bet would be to get the phone numbers and just call the casinos. Don't know if it matters for you, but Isle of Capri at least is 21 to get in.

I was there in October - Isle of Capri in Bettendorf.

I've been there a few times before - the room is a floor above the main casino - nice and private/quiet. Non smoking, but it comes up the stairs pretty good.

The night I was there, there was tons of $3/6 and one $6/12 mixed game. I think they do featured bigger games on each night of the week, and some tournaments too.

The locals are very polite and friendly - I've had a great time every time I've been in there.

Can't find the trip report, though - is there a problem with the recent archives right now?

Isle of Capri has the only poker room in the quad cities

3/6 is their main game with 6/12 and 10/20 on weekends when it gets busy.

They also spread omaha and stud at specific times.

Dealers are excellent and the room is a lot of fun.

Quad Cities Trip Report:

Went to the Quad Cities for a few days and the highlight was the 6 hours spent in - Bettendorf.

Sad, huh?

Questions:

1. Has anyone stayed in the hotel that used to be a Convent - just up the road from the Bettendorf Casino?

2. Is East Moline NO longer one of the Quad Cities?

1. I was there in October for a wedding and the reception was there -- The Abbey. Seemed very nice, very old-timey, low door handles, no keycards - actual room keys with the big plastic room number on the keychain/clip.

2. I think the whole region is called "The Quad Cities," but the actual QC = Rock Island, Moline, Bettendorf, Davenport.
