Default Pocket 8s with scary flop

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (10 handed) converter

Maybe I fell victim to FPS on this hand. Let me know what you think about my postflop play. The CO had been playing almost every hand and taking down most pots he was in without a showdown. Unless he's been having an incredible run of cards, he is the LAG poster child. He would either drive everyone out preflop with a oversized raise or reraise(stealing blinds in level 1 and 2), or would take down the pot on scary flops like these by showing aggression. I felt that the more chips I bet into him, the more likely he would reraise all in knowing I can't call here for all my chips. I thought that a min bet would at least give me a small chance of seeing a cheap turn card. What is the right post flop play here?

Check, fold. Also, your logic is flawed here. Your min bet and check on the turn is begging to be bet into.

Check/fold? You have an underpair. You've gotta cut out this min bet crap. You're calling preflop largely for set value. This flop wasn't part of the plan. Why would you take on someone you describe as a "LAG poster child. He would either drive everyone out preflop with a oversized raise or reraise(stealing blinds in level 1 and 2), or would take down the pot on scary flops like these by showing aggression" when you don't have a hand that can take the heat?
