Default Short stacked Question

I frequently find myself approaching the end of the second hour of MTTs with about 5-7x BB. Many times, I find myself without a hand for two or three straight orbits. Inevitably, I will pick-up a medium pair in middle or late position. Is it a good push in middle position with 55 in an unopened pot? 66? 77?

I have busted out of my last three tourneys opening a pot with an all-in in middle position.

The fact that you have busted a few times is pretty meaningless...if you got AA cracked 3 times in a row would you consequently be more or less apt to gable with it?? Any pocket pair above 5-5 here is huge 2-2 3-3 4-4 probably also.

Thanks for the reply. I only mention busting a few times with it because that is what has brought it to my attention. Statistically, it is completely meaningless.

Jason,

Key is to not let it get that far, but if the situation is unavoidable, pushing with 55-77 at that point is an auto for me.

Regards,
Jarid
