Re: All-In Orgy
The problem with a set of tens is there's a decent chance someone has many of your outs with a lower set.

Re: All-In Orgy
reminds me of a hand i just played. i was in the middle of a great session, when everything went to [censored], so started tilting. anyway, I limp in EP with 33, c/o and button limp along sb completes, bb checks. flop is 347r, sb leads out less than pot, I raise, c/o folds, button raises all in, sb calls, i (stupidly) push, sb calls. c/o has 77, sb has 56. i spike the case 3 on the turn. moral of the story: if three people go all in, one's got the nuts, but you'll probably win anyway.

Re: All-In Orgy
Hey all,
Glad to see everyone in agreement here. I agree with the posters; this is a pretty easy fold. Unfortunately, I didn't think so at the time... I got blinded by the pot odds and by the fact that BB figured to have absolutely nothing. I thought a straight was more likely than a set for the button to have, not to mention the (really) outside chance that my hand was good. Again, in retrospect, this was bad poker. When he has the straight, I barely have the odds to call, and when he has the overset, I'm drawing to one out. If ever there were a time to fold a set, this was it. Anyway, turn came 7 and river came 9. I showed, BB mucked, LP mucked, and button showed 99 and took it down. Thanks for the replies. ML4L |
