What's wrong with my play? If i raise and they both fold and the EP player folds the most i have cost myself is 2BB- if both of them would have called. That is the worst case scenario. The best case is that they both all 2 cold (they are loose passive remember) and the original better had a flush as well and makes it three bets. Looking at a +5BB-+10BB scenario best case. In reality it is somewhree inbetween, but raiseing is vastly superior as one coldcaller is a damn good thing. Also there are plenty of hearts left to hit the river wich will kill my action. [/ QUOTE ] In many games, calling is correct here. Sometimes, I go hours without seeing anyone call two bets cold. Apparently, however, in the game you were playing in, raising was corect. P.S. I don't think this is "weak-tight." I think this is just bad play (in this game). There's a difference. Now, if the board paired on the river and you checked because you were terrified of a boat, THAT would be "weak-tight." EDIT: Sorry, didn't see Al's post saying a lot of the same thing. |

I got bitched at by the table AND the dealer for something like this. 3/6 game at Lucky Chances, 2 good players, 6 fish, and one person doing his best to appear to be a fish (me). The pot hasn't been raised the whole way (maybe preflop, but definitely not after) and I river the nut flush. Good player bets (baby flush with middle pair), I just call hoping for overcalls, or if I'm lucky, even a raise behind me from a baby flush. There's no way I get more than 1 bet if I raise. Both of the calling stations behind me folded, which was a 1-in-a-million occurrence. Then I get bitched at for not raising. Heh.

It was the win that did it. Dont sweat it, the T/A returns after your psyche lets go of the money.
