Advice for someone going to Vegas for a week
I'll have about 1.5k to play with, and my favourite game is nl holdem, I'll settle for limit holdem if i have to.
Anyone by chance know some good (by good i mean loose) nl games in the 1-2, 4-8 range? Thanks in advance |

Re: Advice for someone going to Vegas for a week
The last time I was in Vegas, the Excalibur $100 max buy-in NL with 1/2 blinds was as good as it gets. I am going out this weekend and will be playing there. When are you going out?

Re: Advice for someone going to Vegas for a week
I think I'll be over there this Saturday or Sunday, staying at the Mirage I think.
Thanks for the info, 1/2 blinds sounds excellent. I'm a 22 year old kid with orange hair, so you'll probably know if I'm there. Thanks again, Jim |

Re: Advice for someone going to Vegas for a week
I was there during the week (Monday-Wednesday) a couple weeks back and found the Mandalay Bay 2-4 NL game (200 buyin) a lot more enjoyable (and profitable) than the 1/2 NL at the Excalibur. Could've just been a fluke of the days/times I was there so YMMV.

Re: Advice for someone going to Vegas for a week
With a 1.5k bankroll I wouldn't go to the Excalibur. The $100 min/max won't be taking advantage of the amount of $$ you have to work with. Actually, for a superbly fishy game, you might try the Flamingo.. $2/$5 blinds, $100 minimum/$300 maximum buy-in.
Mandalay Bay has a pretty busy $200 min/max NLHE game, but my personal observation is that Mandalay is not nearly as fishy on average as the Flamingo. |

Re: Advice for someone going to Vegas for a week
You might want to try The Palms. I was just there last week and won about $1000 playing bad poker. Fortunately, the players over there were worse than I was. They spread NL HE games in their "high limit" area. The blinds are 2/5 and the buy-in is $100-$500.
