Default Flopped the nuts with heavy action

I'm assuming I played this hand right and I just got unlucky. Good call with the flush draw on board?

i would have raised more on the flop. youre making him call $3 more when there's $9.50 in the pot, probably more if/when you get more callers. you have the nuts but you're a little vulnerable.

i dunno why youre asking about the call though, there aren't many occasions in holdem when you should fold the nuts, and i can't think of ANY when the pot is multiway.

You have to call that. You know you might be up against a flush draw, but it's going to miss most of the time and you're getting 2:1 that it won't. It's just unfortunate that you walked into a guy with your same hand who was freerolling a flush draw on you.

Even if you knew the exact hands, the call is still +EV because of the almost dead money from AA. Your pot win rate is 0.3 (from splitting 60% of the time) and you're getting 3:1 on your money (your call will be .25 of the pot you can win), so it's +EV. Even if the guy had top set instead of AA, the call is barely -EV, and there are a LOT of situations where it's way more +EV to call.

Yeah, I probably should have priced out the draw a little more plus I had position. I figure I was going to milk this one a little bit. BTW, I was wondering if you were at the Finance/Investment Club meeting today?
