Dear All,

$2/$4 party poker:

4 Players in the hand inc both blinds......No raises pre-flop

Flop Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

1st player bets $2
2nd player raises $4

Both blinds fold

Betting caps @ $8 each

Turn 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Betting caps @ $16 each

River card 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

1st player is All-in with remaining $3.75

2nd player calls

Best guess on both players hands?

It would be helpful for me to know which position the other 2 players limped in from.

either QT vs. 77 .. or some other set over set. I don't quite see KJ or J9 hearts because of the turn cap. Very questionable on a paired board.

assuming these aren't maniacs of course

Best guess is 77 v QT or 77 v A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] x [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Default Results and Why I posted..............

Dear All,

I was the winner of this monster hand, but my reason for posting this and your answers have prompted me to ask this:

Player 1 had A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Me, player 2 had 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Now, please understand I am not gloating (who has never had quads?) Nor am I asking the ridiculous "Did I play my quads correctly?" question but I notice that none of you guessed I had 10,10 Now I am assuming this is because maybe you think I should/would have Raised with this hand?

I hate raising with 10,10 in EP (Position 3), especially having one caller behind me who you know, will not now fold to a raise of another $2 and for the obvious reason that... any face or A is a scare card.

Am I wrong?

Your thoughts regards David

QT is more likely than TT not only because of the raise, but because there are only 2 tens left.

Yes, raise TT preflop from EP every time. Just because people are holding overcards doesn't mean you should play passively. You have great pot equity with TT.
