Biggest swing?
last night i probably had my craziest session ever. my first session 4 tabling 50nl. i was down about 430 dollars at one point and i ended the night down only 23 dollars, i have to say i was pretty [censored] worried when i was down 430, but it was 90% bad beats and 10% misreads, but i kept on playing and almost got back even, it was quite a relief.

Re: Biggest swing?
At NL the most Ive dropped 4 tabling in 1 night is 5 buyins ... and the last buy-in I may have forced a hand to try and get back in the black

Re: Biggest swing?
Been down $520 at a casino from playing terribly at 3/6 (dumped it all in the first 2-3 hours, then played even for about the next 20 hours straight). I didn't have enough time to get unstuck that way, so I tried the 1-1-2 NL 100 max table and kept getting called when I was way ahead and I won it all back +20.
The craziest hand: I'm in BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and 4 or 5 people have limped, and I raise to $30 (pretty normal raise in that game), and get 2 callers, for a pot of about $100. Flop is K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and I'm first up with $172 in my stack, so I push, which has to be right. They both call!??!?!? (and had me covered slightly). Turn is a complete rag (3 or 4 of a new suit), river is A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. They check it down again, I slam my forehead into the table and flip 2-pair, sure one of the draws completed. The first guy flashes KQo and mucks it, the other guy ha already pitched silently, so I have no clue what he had.. probably a pair or a bad king or AT, since I'm sure he would have commented if I'd rivered out KT. |

Re: Biggest swing?
I go up and down 5-7 buyins each time I four-tabling short-handed nl tables for significant (2500 hands) periods of time. Anyone who says they've never had a -6 buy-in session is either lying or doesn't play very long sessions.

Re: Biggest swing?
I can honestly say that if I go down 8 buyins in one session I will have a really really hard time not tilting. Hence I usually quit before that happens. If i get stuck 3-4 buyins I usually quit.
Not implying that this is a proper way of doing things, just works for me. |

Re: Biggest swing?
After a couple hundred hands of NL100 last night I was down $700+. I lost the first 50 hands I played (at 6-max). There was only one hand where I actually tilted away money, making a stupid semi-bluff all-in where it turned out my outs weren't clean. Over the next 1000 hands though I won it all back and ended up at around +$180 for the session.

Re: Biggest swing?
This is very relieving for me as I just had the worse night since I have been playing. I lost about 4 buy-ins. The table was crazy and I thought I was adjusting well. Guess not. It was a combination of tilting and bad reads. 70/30 I would say.

Re: Biggest swing?
Well I once dropped $700 during a 364 hand session at one $100NL full ring table where I lost with 3 sets, AA & QQ all in preflop, among other things.

Re: Biggest swing?
Was once playing 4 100NL tables on Party. Finished at $650 on one of them, and down $17 for the night |
