... checkraises!? No, not in a 7-way pot I don't. I don't like getting involved with overcards when there is a serious risk of drawing dead and the pot isn't very large. I'm also going to have this bad position for the rest of the hand.

Next hand.

That is my exact first thought. Then I take another second before making a split second decision. I think I have two overs, back door straight and nut flush draw. I think the pot is giving me the odds to continue. Folding seems like -EV here. Im so confused.

Ugh. Fold and move to the next hand, this isn't a big pot yet and you have a weak draw, your call isn't closing the action.

If someone has a 5 you are drawing very thin. Your back door straight draw is to a gutshot. If you make your flush it will be obvious to everyone with 4 clubs on the board, so you won't collect a lot of bets on the river, but you will have to pay off someone who makes a full house.

Folding is always 0 EV. Calling would be -EV here.

...folds.

Spiking an A or J may be no good, so your backdoor draws are your best shot to win the hand. The gutshot straight draw is worth almost nothing in terms of outs. The backdoor flush draw is worth a little more, but if someone is checkraising with a 5 and someone else goes nuts with a T then you're paying a lot of bets to see the turn and then a lot more to see the river.

Just fold. This hand is Bad Times.

I folded. Thanks guys.

Folding is always 0 EV. Calling would be -EV here.

I know this, I just worded my phrase wrong.
