Hero is close to the money: Should he push?
$20/2 NL tourney on TP. Thirty-six started and it is down to 8 players. It will pay top 6 players.
Hero is on the button and has the lowest chips count with t1125. 2nd lowest in chips is t2300. Chip leader who has over t9000 is in MP2. Blinds are 250/500. Hero picks up T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Everyone folds to MP who limps, MP2 (chip leader) goes all in. Hero? |

Re: Hero is close to the money: Should he push?
You've only got two orbits left. If your goal is to sneak into the money you could fold everything and hope two others go out before you get blinded out. If your goal is to win I think you have to call here. You're not likely to get a better hand before you're blinded out.

You don't have a choice. Nobody is going to let themselves bust before you if you fold here. Call.

easy call. you should be playing to win and by calling you are getting 2:1 on your money with likely the best hand.
