How strong a hand to reraise an open button raise from the blind?
Hey guys,
This may be an elementary question but I think I may either be losing money or not making it in this spot many times. Assume an average table, lets say party 5/10. Folded to button who raises. What hands are three betting from the SB? How about from the BB if SB calls? BB if SB folds? Thanks for your time, Evan |

Re: How strong a hand to reraise an open button raise from the blind?
This is obviously very player dependant.
My baseline in the SB vs a steal is something like: 66+,AT+,KT+,QJ+,A7s+,K9s+,QTs+,T9s+ Against a steal and a Coldcall from the SB I only 3bet my better hands as I wont take it down without a showdown as often. Something like: 99 AQ AJs KQs. I think this is a decent baseline, maybe even tighten up a little more in the SB, especially if they dont steal alot. Probably coldcall some against the guys who will take A-High to showdown. 3Bet more hands vs the ones who gives up alot on the flop or turn. If SB folds I 3bet 77, AT, KJ, A9s, QJs, but this is again player dependant. I´m not the best blind player around here, but noone else have answered...maybe they will comment on this though. |

Re: How strong a hand to reraise an open button raise from the blind?
Thanks for the reply, this is generally along the lines I was thinking and have been doing.
I realize it is very player dependant, and against hyper aggresive raisers Ive found myself three betting with things down to 67s. Which I really think(read know) that I shouldnt be doing. Regardless I think it worked a few times and it got me overconfident with such hands and I found myself doing the same against many more players. Which again I know will come back and bite me. Thanks again, Evan |
