Here\'s a hand where I stopngoed.
Online 5-10 game with 6 players. The BB in the hand, is a loose aggressive goofball, who is on his third rebuy. I am playing overtime, planning on playing until he gives up. I usually don't use the stopngo, but here I started and stopped alot like my old truck.
UTG, I have A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I raise, Next player reraises, the button, who can't lay a pocket pair down, coldcalls three, SB folds, and the BB who I hoped would enter this pot, folds. I usually cap this in multiway pots, but I decided against the semi reasonable players that were still in, I would play a little deceptively, especially since they all seemed to be planning on playing until the BB left, so I just called the raise. Flop - 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet, next player raises, button folds, and I call again. Turn 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I bet, raise, now I three bet, and he calls. River 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I bet, raise, I threebet, and he caps it. |

Nice hand. On the turn, I can hear your opponent saying "you [censored], you can't buy this f-ing pot"

Well done. I love the stop 'n' go line when I can expect a player on my left to raise, giving me the opportunity to 3-bet. Had you capped preflop, you wouldn't have been able to pull this off.

results, and a little discussion.
Dude wins. He had KK with the King of hearts for the nogood flush redraw.
The reason for all the action, was because of the BB, who wasn't involved in this hand, everyone had been making laser thin value bets, and isolation plays. When we both woke up with real hands, it was hard to imagine that our opponent had a real hand, especially when I slowed down for a moment. If you were playing against the BB, you never slowed down, because not only were you playing against him, but you were also trying to maximise your wins against him, so that it wouldn't go to one of the other players. My opponent on this hand, had seen me threebet middle pair good kicker (which won at showdown), so he probably wasn't real worried about what I might have until after we got to the showdown on this hand. I just liked this hand, because we went 7 bets on the big streets, and I was fairly confident what his hand was, and he clearly didn't know where I was. |

Re: results, and a little discussion.
Hand is a good example of both excellent reads as well as the risk of the whole table going on tilt when a maniac is around.
