Re: starting out on the long road, need some help...
Hi,
you did get me wrong :-) I ment that the boring part was to have a "real" job on the side until you are a proven winner. BR Lamby |

Jesus! With all due respect helpmeout, if you consider yourself worthy of dishing out advice after only 5 months playing the game, you're the delusional one. I started playing two years ago, and have thought of nothing but turning pro since then.

You didnt say anything about 2 years experience nor did you say anything about results or pokertracker stats.
We arent all mind readers. 2 years? what does that mean 2 hours a week? 2 hours a day? 8 hours a day? Its still insignificant information. If you really want to go pro post some hands, pokertracker stats, etc. Then people will have a better idea where you are at and give you decent advice. |

Re: starting out on the long road, need some help...
I suggest you read my original post to get an idea of what I was actually asking. I didn't ask anybody's opinion on whether I was doing the right thing. Of course, you're entitled to your opinion. But so am I. And my opinion is that you're an idiot. It's also my opinion that you should keep your negative comments to yourself. Now, feel free to offer your opinion.

[/ QUOTE ] You've got to remember he's not turning pro in the real sense of the word. He lives at home with very little expenses, and if he goes bust there's really no harm. This is the perfect time in his life for the guy to take a shot. There's no family to worry about, no rent to pay (unless he throws some money to his folks), and he's not gonna starve. If it doesn't work out, so what? Justin A |
