Default Phil Ivey

Anyone heard from this guy in a while? I always hear about people talking about him, but I never see him at final tables on ESPN.

Excellent article. Thanks for the link. Why would he play in tourneys if he can win $1 million in a night at a ring game? Most tourneys don't pay that much for first! Thanks for the help though

Sat at the table beside me in the Foxwoods tournament. Plus he did pretty good in the Monte Carlo tournament.

I'm sure that he does well in tourneys, but unless he wins, he is losing money. If he can sit in "the big game" at Bellagio, why does he play tourneys? Anyway I think he is a great/smart player. Chip has only been playing in cash games for the last few years and from what I've heard, he's doing very well. I just see Ivey disappearing from tourneys in a few years like Reese did simply because there is more money in side games than tourneys.

Um - I think Chip has been playing cash games longer than that - He is widely regarded as the best poker player period!!!

Wow. If by few years, you mean a few decades.
