I remember reading a off-handed remark by Tom the Administrator on the ECD forum where he said something to the effect: 'if everyone cashes out as soon as they meet their wagering requirement, we'll be out of business'.

I hope this isn't the case...

I'd bet a lot of money that it's just a screwup on the host or DNS.

Site's back up... Tom said that their host got hacked and redirected all index files to that parking site.

Here's the forum post. The short of it is that every index page on the server got hacked with that page which is why some pages were ok (comp store for example) but all is well.

Yes. They were hacked yesterday along many other sites (see zdnet.com). Apparently their host is doing some security maintenance, etc. and thus the site is down today. Here's the email that went out:

Hello Players,

Please be advised that the ECD website is currently down - our web hosting service is working on the server that hosts our site and tells us the site will be back up in 24-48 hours or less.

If you see postings at other internet forums that say "ECD is gone," please refer to this email and assure everyone that we are not going anywhere and are working hard to get the site back up as soon as possible. This downtime will in no way affect you or your comps, comp points, or anything else about your account with ECD.
