Another 1920 x 1200 I was adding to my Xmas list is the Sony PremierPro SDM-P234 reviewed at:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1638335,00.asp

Anyone have any experience with that one?

I have and love the Dell and hope in a few months to get one of these 23-inchers to try out 6 tables.

Why would Dells 20" Widescreen be worse than the 20" standard, regarding poker ??

Why would you want a 1920x1200 monitor? A 320-pixel-wide column seems fairly useless to me. Are you guys watching HDTV on it or something?

Default Still don\'t understand why not good for 4-tabling.

"Utilizing an Active Matrix TFT LCD, the Dell™ UltraSharp™ 2001FP Flat Panel Monitor displays sharp and brilliant images of text and graphics with a maximum resolution up to 1600x1200 pixels"

Is the problem the "up to" part? Is the standard resolution lower than 1600x1200?

What is the minimum for 4-tabling Party with no overlap?

1600x1200 is native. I'm looking at one right now, easily 4 table w/o overlap. will set you back around $600-650, check out your favorite deal sites for deals right now (I got mine over the summer for 670, if i ever make 4-tabling profitable and feel i can handle more i will get another of these, i love it).

Yes you can 4 table without overlap. Another post mentions the Sony, that is one to consider too. The HP is the cheapest 23" widescreen I know of currently, though. I got mine off eBay for around $1350.

The extra pixels do help, but I have dual LCDs anyways, and I never go over four tables, so I really would be fine with 1600x1200, but for someone with just one LCD, I would say having the extra 320 pixels helps for misc stuff.
