Re: The GOP and Civil Rights
I believe that the evidence shows that the Republicans made inroads into getting more votes from blacks in this election (it would be hard to do worse than they did in 2000). I'd be willing to bet that those inroads were made with blacks that had a household income more inline with the median household income.

Re: Ever heard of Abraham Lincoln?
Here's your full post:
[ QUOTE ] At school, the nickname for the most liberal group on campus is the "KKK." I do hope you know your history when you and the Republicans mention things from the 1800's. I hope no one buys this crap. [/ QUOTE ] Now what part did I take out of context? Your middle sentence show's a total ignorance of American history regarding the 1800's where the Republicans opposed the KKK and supported civil rights. This is more time than I should devote to troll like yours so I'm done with you and you're the third one to make my ignore list. |

Re: Ever heard of Abraham Lincoln?
The most liberal group on Campus is called the "KKK" because they, like the KKK back when it was very strong, are Democrats. Democrats were once the party that was aligned with the KKK, which is a complete reversal from their stance today.
Yeah, I know about Abraham Lincoln, but that has no relevance to the Democratic and Republican parties of today. Parties' stances are constantly shifting, and pointing to the 1800's to show how dedicated you are to Civil Rights is really dumb. |
