There are a couple ways of thinking about this.

1. Poker is all about the long run. In that respect, I can't say that I've run bad. I've increased my bankroll by 30,000% in the last 10 months. Yeah... I've had some days run together that were over 100BB negative, but ehh... it all comes back.

2. You can run cold for a while. I'm dealing w/ a streak right now at 3/6. The main culprit... AJo... Just before this streak, I had a disagreement w/ a friend about AJo. He folds this hand pf in EP and limps from MP. I say raise. Raise I say. The poker gods saw this and decided to punish me. I lost over 120BB in 3 days last week right after this discussion. AJo.... 45BB loss alone over 15 times getting it.

I think it's just happened to me enough times (losing over 100BB in a short period) that it really doesn't phase me much anymore. Yeah... my AA got cracked by 84o twice last week, but it happens (too often vs 84o). (Does anybody else lose 12BB w/ AA on a A44 flop?)

The important thing is that if you lose over 75BB in any given run... take a look at why. Sometimes it is bad play. Sometimes it's just the cards. Also, just as important (believe it or not) if you win over 100BB in a short period of time... re-evaluate your play... Don't reinforce bad habits just because you're winning.

Shouldn't you at least have Irish beers under the hats?

Probably would be best if you never used 'Keystone' and 'good' in the same sentance again. But if you're talking about beer on a budget, nothing beats the $9.99 case of Busch Light bottles.
