Default 29.99 for clay chips?

How can HSN offer a set of real clay poker chips for only 29.99? I have never seen clay chips that cheap before. Is there a common crappy version of clays out there?

Everyone calls their chips "real clay" now. Even when it's more plastic. Real clay now means nothing. Were they dice chips? How many chips did it include? Probably dice or diamond chips at that price.

You get what you pay for.

Definately cheapies, unless of course it is for 25 chips.

If that is the set, then it is not a very good price no matter WHAT type they are. But they are not weighted plastic chips, since the weight is 7.5g. They are most likely non-weighted dice/suited, as that is about what the pastic chip weighs without the slug (I know, I weighed my old set of plastic suited chips). If so, then it is a HORRIBLE price. You can do better at wal-mart or costco for low-end chips.

Yeah that's probaly them. My tivo tapes everything poker related, so I was just skimming the broadcast. The host said half a dozen times that they were real casino clay chips. I figured it had to be wrong, and the website doesn't make that claim, so I think they are just crappy plastic knock-offs. Thanks for the feedback and the link.
