Default Casino Europa, Costa Rica has revived its poker, recommended

Casino Europa, Costa Rica, an inaugural World Poker Tour stop, until recently had suffered from a dearth of players.

HOWEVER, I can attest that the room has been very busy of late. They still run the $10 NL tournaments, with a $150 add-on. (I have never added on but the play is frentic, especially before the add-on period ends.)

More importantly, Europa spreads extremely loose No Limit games with $1-$2 and $2-$5 blinds. The mix of players is about 60/40 locals and ex-pats.

Generally the expats are sportsbook guys or, representatives of a number of poker sites ... So, if you want a last crack at getting back some of that online poker rake, try Europa, on a Tuesday, Sunday or the last week of the month .... during their tournament specials.

(There are plenty of reasons to visit Costa Rica, now you can also play poker in decent, entertaining games.)
