I'm going. I won a double shootout last week.

I look forward to sitting at an actual POKER TABLE with some of you all. Fingernails gettin dirty, calling for beers.

Hell, it's not like I'm gonna WIN. I'm just going to get away and enjoy myself and maybe play some of the side action.

See y'all there.

Hey guys,

I am thinking of taking a shot this. I have heard that Pokerstars has very good players. Is the $615 tournament stacked with sharks, or are there a decent amount of fish like a Party $150 Super.

Thanks,
kinger

I can't speak for the $615 because I haven't played in it but my experience with the $74 super sattelite (played 1) and the $180 shootouts (played 3)was that the play was comparable to a $100 SNG on Party but not as many total fish. I won the $74 sattelite I played which technically won me a seat in the $615+35 tourney. I "cashed" that out thinking I'd have a better chance at the $150+10 shootout since I mostly play SNGs.

Good luck and hope to see you in the Bahamas!

I'll be there, but I haven't won a seat. I'm going to play in some supersatellites while I'm in the area (It just happens I'll be there on vacation the week of the tournament) and if I win a seat I'll book a room at the holiday inn for another few days.

I'm gonna wear a custom shirt that says "brown trout" on the back, hopefully someone will recognize me.

Auggie-

I'm pretty sure the WPT rules require you to be at least 21. You might want to double check.

yeah, pretty sure rules state you must be 21, even though it is being held in the Bahamas.

I'd say there were definitely some very strong players in the field, but some weaker ones as well. At my starting table for example i'd say 2-3 were average/below average, 3-4 solid straightforward, and maybe 2-3 tricky aggressive. There's enough non-sharks in there that if you play strong/solid, aren't afraid to take a few risks, and catch a break or two you can win.
