Should i have slowed down?
villian in question is fairly new to holdem and overall plays straightforward(well as much as a newbie can) so if he bets or raises usually he has at least a pair.
this is early in a home tourney i have my buy in of 20 and he has doubled through already. i am dealt AKo and raise the .50 blind to $2. villian calls flop 9K9(suits are inconsequential) i lead out for 3 dollars and he calls. turn brings 9K9A for top 2. i lead for 4 dollars and he calls again. at this point i think a nine and somehow i am intimidating him because he hasnt raised me(this guy never slow plays like this). river is a blank and i lead out again(ugh i know bad) he calls and shows his T9s. any comments appreciated as always -Modar |
