French Military Attack Kills American

France is in a quagmire as it attempts to improve a country's future (like the US in Iraq). It is sending in more troops. Should we Americans start protesting the evil French intervention? Or should the French thank us for doing the same thing in a tougher country (Iraq)?

Well, first, I think the title is a little misleading in that an American was killed in an attack on French forces by the government of the Ivory Coast.

Second, I'm not that familiar with the situation but I don't think having an American get killed should prompt us to condemn their actions there, especially since said American was on a French base and presumably working with them.

I don't think the reasons for the French presence are quite the same, nor do I think their actions in the region are comparable.

No, that is why they are pussies. They are evil because they had an oily love affair with Saddam for 10 years and sold him illegal weapons while British and US troops were on the border. Plus, they like Michael Moore.

This is a perfect chance for the Bush administration to reach out to the French. If i were president, i would be on the horn with Mr Chirac offering assistance. Will it happen? Im not holding my breath.

You do realize the United States had a love affair with Iraq, Saddam, Afghanistan, and the Taliban right? We gave Saddam chemical weapons.

Also Intervention by France and the United States was requested by both sides of this conflict.

uhhhhh...we GAVE saddam AND bin laden weapons. Michael Moore's movie was one of the highest rated movies this year in the united states...and we have the same love affair with the saudis, are we evil?
