Crying Calls?
UB .25/.50
Hero is MP1 with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] All fold to hero, who raises. All others fold to BB, who calls. Flop: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero bets, BB calls. Turn: Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. BB bets, hero calls. River: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. BB bets, hero calls. Was it correct to call on the turn? What about the river? I'm pretty new to online hold'em and although I have been reading everything I can get my hands on I feel like my biggest fault is staying in hands I should get out of. This is my first post here so please forgive me if it is in the wrong forum, etc. |

Re: Crying Calls?
This looks ok to me, folding seems a bit weak/tight to me, but BB waking up there on the turn is a bit scary on this board. With no read, I'd most likely call down.
If you think you're staying in too long, post a few more hands where you think this is the case. You've got it in the right place, and Welcome to the forum! Al |

Re: Crying Calls?
I like a raise on the turn, fold to a 3-bet or a lead on the river. In general, this will cost you the same when behind (calling down), but gain a bet when you're ahead (when opponent won't bet the river).
