This situation occured in a live game I was playing last week and I still am not confident in my thoughts on it.
I am UTG+1 with KK. Preflop action is capped with 5 other players still in!!! Preflop capper is to my left. Flop comes down rainbow 39K. Since player to my left showed aggression preflop I decided to try for a check raise here. As expected player to left bets out. It gets called around and UTG check-raises. What do I do? I don't want to fold people out of this pot that I have all but locked up. There really isn't anything here that I need to protect my hand from here expect for odd backdoor draws. With an aggresive player to my right I also face the possibility that he will raise as well. That would put the remaining players calling three bets and is likely to clear the table. In either scenario (call or raise) how should I play the turn? Thanks in advance for the advice! |

I would call, because there are no draws out there really, let everyone else call one cold. On the turn, if the guy on your right bets, Id raise him, regardless of what card falls. You can't let everyone draw for free forever.

Let them draw one more card. Hit 'em up with the check/raise on the turn for the big money.
