an interesting hand - final pot size 57BB
UTG is maniac with 62% VP$IP.
Hero, me, is another maniac... I thought the chance I won the pot (pot equity) should be greater than 20% (5-player pot) and I was mainly against a maniac... If the other players folded earlier, I would have just called down. Is it a right application of pot equity? Re: an interesting hand - final pot size 57BB
you're a madman. one pair usually won't be winning a 57 BB pot. those guys are not folding. they have something, but are terrified of that action going on.
I'm guessing MP2 has AA or something. maybe QQ/AJ, but he might release those. there's likely a JT in there as well and maybe another 2-pair. i'd be surprised if you were better than third here. |

Once the turn is 3-bet, I call down.

Re: an interesting hand - final pot size 57BB
Against any normal player, I would have called down from turn. But for more than 2 times, UTG call with something like 92o and then raise AQ2 flop.
Yes, all of the other players probably have at least two pairs to call down but they will also call down with one pair, trying to draw to 2 pair or trip. |

Hero, me, is another maniac... [/ QUOTE ] That about sums it up... call down after the turn 3-bet for sure. Even maniacs hit 2 pr or AA sometimes, and with the other people in it's bad times. |

RESULTS
Thanks. Point taken.
The results are also interesting. maniac has Ah Ac (one pair, aces). UTG+1 has 4h 7h (flush, ten high). call raise and then call 2 more bets preflop Hero has Ks Kh (one pair, kings). Button has Jh Qd (one pair, jacks). cold call 4 bets preflop MP2 claims he also has KK. UTG+1 wins 57.25 BB. |

Re: an interesting hand - final pot size 57BB
i would just call the river. mp2 raised the flop, then called all those bets til the river. i smell flush draw. obviously, i was wrong, as he folded on the river.

Re: an interesting hand - final pot size 57BB
As the other posters pointed out, I should have called down after turn 3-bet. The river raise is obviously a mistake... well, I guess I wasn't thinking...
