Default how much do you bring to the table?

Hello I have been playing at the $5/$10 (6max) at party for a month now. I notice that some people take about $500 - $1000 to the table and I was thinking to start do the same. I recon the advantage with taking more money to the table is that players that have no stats on you will fold to your steal attempts more often. On the other hand if you bring less money people might call you down more often and maybe you are more likely to get new fishes to your table with small stacks.

I don't think people think about it...when I see someone sitting with a stack 500+ I think wow probably a crap playing on a rush who's having a shot at 5/10 with their whole BR.

I bring $500 to each table because I don't like seeing myself at a $5-10 6 max table with $100 just because I've lost a few pots there. Having a larger buyin may or may not intimidate or affect the thinking of weaker opponents but it can't hurt can it? I see no downside but there is potentially an upside, so why not buy in for more?

I don't play 5/10. But I answered more than $250. My reason for this - is I look at it that $250 is only 25 Big bets

I like to bring 35-40 Big bets into the room with me.

I usually go with the standard 25BB on party and rebuy if I get below 10. I don't think I have played any pots on PP where I have put in 10BB, so I feel ok when I am a little below the 12BB max you can put in on a hand.

I haven't charted it, but I think I have to rebuy at about 1 in 6 table (but I am playing 15/30 full lately, which ends up shorthanded about 25-30% of the time, slightly more if you look at it weighted by hands rather than time.)
