BB/100 and BB/hour
When dealing with 50NL what in your opinions would classify as a good bb/100 and bb/hour and what would you consider a very good bb/100 and bb/ hour?
also, how many hands would you suggest are needed before one can establish what they are earning per 100 hands and per hour? |

I'm by no means an authority on this subject. With that out of the way, 4-8BB/100 is very much in the realm of expected win rate (given my experience and various posts I've read on 2+2). As for $/hr, assumeing you play one table at a time you will average about 50 hands/hr. [also, how many hands would you suggest are needed before one can establish what they are earning per 100 hands and per hour? ] This is dependent on your win rate/100 and standard deviation/100. At 10,000 hands you can start to get some indication with statical signafiance that you are a winning player (the stress is on "some indication", don't quit your day job!!!). In most cases 60-80% confident that you are not loosing player. Of coarse the more hands the more confident you can be. However, it takes at a minimum 50,000 (really closer to 100,000 hands before you can begin to determine with reasonable confidence what your actual win rate is (ie 95% confident your win rate is between 4-5BB/100) |

Re: BB/100 and BB/hour
Guys you are confusing yourself (and me! ) writing BB instead of clear big bets / big blinds. Everytime someone will ask: "What is BB there?" Very sad that Pat had no other way than to add 'big bets' to no-limit poker.

Re: BB/100 and BB/hour
If you're making 22BB/100 and have managed to accumulate 3,000 hands under belt...it's still too soon to tell.
