Default NYC clubs

Hey,
I've been surfing and seeing a club here and there on this board, but not ever a list. I know this is a newbie question, but are poker clubs in NYC legal? If so, can someone give me a short list of them, will be in the city soon.

thanks

I asked a similar question about a week or so back (not about legality but for a listing of clubs). The response was lackluster to say the least, but I heard about the following: NY Player's Club, Playstation, Galaxy, ...

Since these are all private clubs, do you need to do anything to join? Can you just show up tomorrow night and pay a membership fee and play?

Many thanks to anyone with info.

You need to be a member at a lot of them but for the NYC Players Club you can just walk right in, the games are good, and they have NL and tournys.

Not really. I only know of 1 where you can't just stroll in.

Dont you also have to be a member at the sister location of the aforementioned membership place?

I shouldn't have used the word "most" as I only have experience with 3 of them.

but are poker clubs in NYC legal?

No. Thus the best way to discuss specifics would be through PM's, not posts on a public forum that anyone can read.

They're totally legal, and by "totally legal" I mean "totally illegal."

Perhaps. I've never been to the sister, although I hear she's hot.
