Would you raise at this point?
Dear All,
I am a Newbie and will try and explain this as best as possible. $2/$4 Partypoker I have AA on the BB and there has been a coupla a raises and I cap the betting. There are now three players including me. Flop 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Bet comes to me at $2 I raise to $4 betting caps again Turn card 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet $4 , it is raised to $8 betting caps AGAIN at $16 each player (There is still the three of us in at this point) River card is a 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Bet comes to me $4. What is the correct play at this point just call or raise? Will post what happened after answers. Regards David |

Re: Would you raise at this point?
I would just call it down, but given the action on other streets this will at least get 3-bet and possibly capped. Just call through, the pot is huge at this point.

Re: Would you raise at this point?
Unless these guys are overly aggressive I should think there is a good chance one of them also has AA.
Its a horrid thought but given the action I guess you have to wonder about TT or 99 at some point also. Having said that, it is 2/4 Party. Some moron could have been raising Q9 preflop for all you know. Its a tough one but I think I would just call the river. |

Re: Would you raise at this point?
No, I'd not raise that river. You don't exactly have a stellar hand, and have opponents who have shown that they utterly love their hands.
Also, use bison's converter so we can see exactly who does the betting where, that really makes all the difference. |
