He must have realised that MP3 was the kind of player who would come in with 73 and then call on the turn with a gutshot draw without anything approaching the correct pot odds. I agree that you have to bet the river here, and if you lose to a bozo who has bet this kind of hand you should console yourself with the thought that you will get the chance to play other hands against him. If he leaves the table you should just head for the pub and drown your sorrows!

A lot of players at Party play this way, and recently a lot of them have been beating me with this junk. I saw 3 to a straight and 3 to a flush and thought there's a good chance one of these guys caught something.

If the advice is, suck it up and bet, then I'm going to give that strong consideration next time.

In the long run it is not a good idea to base all your decisions on whether or not to bet on the possibility that your opponent is insane. There are very few hands that he can sensibly have that will beat you, so you should bet. If it turns out that he has fluked his way to a winning hand, you know that nine times out of ten when you play this guy you will beat him. Maybe I should switch to Party from UB if the opposition all play so badly!

there have been several threads comparing UB to Party recently (and by several, I mean "at least one") -- if you can handle really loose games and the high variance they bring, party is the place to be.
