Default PLO hand

PLO tournament. High only. Blinds are 50-100. I have 1700.

I'm UTG and and raise to 300 with KKJ9 double suited. One guy calls and then the big blind comes over the top with a pot sized re-raise.

I folded. Was I too tight?

Default Re: PLO hand

This is a tough call for me as well because I like to lean on my post-flop play in PLO. But you probably don't have that luxury given your stack size and blinds coming up. If the 9 were a 10 I would call with much more enthusiasm. Being high double suited is worth a bit more than most "good players" credit in a pre-flop all-in situation (about +12% EV versus same hand double off-suit as you will winning flush it about 5% of time). So I crying commit my chips here knowing I'm only 30-55% to win if I'm so lucky to get it heads-up. On a day I'm either particularly weak-willed or ego-maniacal, I'll dump it (but never if the 9 were a 10).
