Default How should I have played this?

I had only been at the table for about five minutes and had no real reads.

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 3 folds, Hero raises, Button 3-bets, SB calls, BB calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (16 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, Button raises, SB calls, BB folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (11 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, Button bets, SB calls, Hero calls.

River: (14 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, Button bets, SB calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 17 BB

Results in white below:

SB shows [8 8] - Full House, fives full of eights
Button shows [T 8] - Three of a kind, fives
Hero shows [A K] - Full House, fives full of kings

Hero wins 17 BB

Can I put the raiser on aces or another better hand here?

You missed WAY too many best with this hand.

Cap preflop.

Flop: I 3-bet and call a cap. There aren't many draws, so if capped, I might checkraise the turn, but more often than not I lead the turn and call a raise.

Turn: Like I said, generally I bet this and call a raise. A check-raise is acceptable sometimes, and I think a check-call is the worst of the options.

River is completely dependent on preflop, flop, and turn play.

BTW, don't share results when you post a hand asking for advice.

I'd cap pre-flop and 3-bet the flop. Button is your new best friend.

Thanks, I knew I played this hand atrociously.
Do you think I still should have capped pre-flop if my hand was not suited? And would I play the same way, if I knew the Button was a tight player?
