Default It\'s back! Poker on TV 10/10- 10/17/04

(Sunday 10/10 through Sunday 10/17, 2004)

USA television schedule results below are based on Eastern Daily Savings Time (EDT)- filtered from the TV Guide listings. Check your local provider to make sure you will actually get these at the times listed.
Shows may be followed by their Comcast channel (East Coast) and then the station letters.
"PDT??" means Yahoo listed this time as Pacific Daylight Savings time, but it's not always accurate. Just ??? means I adjusted from the PDT time.

I am marking the "new" poker shows with asterisks *** in front, to make it a little easier to sort out things.

SPECIAL ESPN WARNING- As they have proven, show times (and even the shows themselves- where is our 2-7 triple draw tournament, you bastards?) are questionable for ESPN.

WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS- The Ultimate Poker Challenge continues with their preliminary tournaments on Saturday night- check your local schedule for your times. Celebrity Poker starts a new season on 10/10. And the WPT debuts their new analysis show on a temporary tryout.
There are a number of ESPN listings for 2004 repeats- don't be surprised if they don't match what is actually shown. ESPNClassic shows the 2002 WSOP and 2003 WSOP, but abbreviated versions?

Non-poker: Skipping this week [Trying to ease back into getting this TV schedule thing done regularly]

What's WPSG?

Also, I wonder what geniuses decided to debut two new poker episodes on the same day and same time... even if one of them is Celebrity Poker Showdown.

To DP: WPSG is probably Easy E's local NBC station. You also forgot to note that the WPT is airing a show Sunday night, probably as counterprogramming to Bravo.

As a note to E, Classic is doing the 2 part 2002 WSOP, then airing all 7 shows of the 2003 WSOP, the "best of" 2003 WSOP half hour programs and the 2003 USPC. They'll then start their classic poker programming Nov. 9 with the 1993 WSOP.

Thanks, I'd forgotten that the 2002 show was two parts.

I wonder when ESPN decided to sneak in one of the final table shows on Sunday afternoon? TV Guide online and Yahoo TV only cover so much, I guess.

Default No 2002 WSOP tonight

ESPN Classic's schedule is pretty fluid at times, as tonight's part 1 of the 2002 has been pre-empted for hours of Yankees-Red Sox programming. Another WSOP show will be pre-empted on Thursday 12:00am as they're airing hockey programming because of the lockout situation.

I see the good folks at Bravo took my advice and changed the starting time at 10pm so it starts as PSI ends. That was nice.
