Default Kicker guessing game

I just recently started playing NL and have been in this situation twice in the past couple of weeks. In this particular hand the preflop action from the cutoff and button doesnt make any sense so it can pretty much be ignored.
$200 max buy/ $1-2 blinds live NL
The CO, a wild gambler who has been throwing his chips around successfully hand after hand, open limps. The button, who also is very loose agressive, makes a very strange raise to $5 (raises in this game are usually at least $12). The SB, a stranger who has just sat down, calls. I call with AJs. Now the cutoff reraises to $10 and we call to take the flop 4 handed with 40 in the pot.

Flop: A22 rainbow. SB bets 15, I raise to 45. Folded to SB who calls.
Turn: baby blank. SB checks. He has about $200 and has me covered by a small amount. I was unsure how much to bet here and knew that I could easily be behind. I bet 45, checked down the river and lost to AQ. I figure I got this hand shown down very cheap with a marginal hand so you could say things worked out.

The opponents I face in the $200 max buy games in Vegas have a very wide range in skill. Some are very good, most are very bad. In the same situation against a weak player I would raise more on the flop, bet bigger on the turn, and bet the river for value. Against tight solid players Ill just fold to the flop bet, not wanting to get involved. Any suggestions on playing this specific hand against decent or unknown players. This is very important because I am going to start playing NL online soon and will be facing players whom I have no read on their skill level. Thanks,

Jesse
