With the amount that is in the pot it is going to be a tough turn fold.

I for one, barring an incredible read, am going to the felt on this one.

However, you are not fearing any cards, so checking may induce a bet from a KJ with King of spades who just hit trips and has outs to improve.

Regardless you are going all in....but *he* may not be. Give yourself a 2nd way of taking his money....let him bet.

yeah after thinking about the push on the turn i felt like a check-call was a much better line.

how about the flop line, is that pretty standard in these situations?

There really is no "standard" way to play the nuts on the flop, it depends on the players involved, the stacks involved and how your opponents view you. I generally have a somewhat tight/tricky image in live games so I wouldn't hesitate to push all in on the flop, you have a bet and a raise to you and you're holding the nuts + a pot sized raise is more than half your stack...push them in.

as i feared the button had flopped a set of 5s and filled up on the turn, calling my push with no extra thought.

the more i think about it the more i like pushing on the flop after the check raise by the cutoff.

thanks for all your input.
