Multi-table effect
Hey guys,
I was just curious as to what effect playing more than 1 table at a time online has on your bankroll. Obviously, it is supposed to increase your "hours" at the table, thereby more money made. But does it increase your variance also? Is playing 1 hour at two table exactly the same as playing 2 hours at one table? My question gets down to this: Do you need a bigger bankroll to play multiple tables? Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: Multi-table effect
This has been discussed at length, and recently too.
The short answer is no, it isn't exactly the same, and no, you don't need a bigger bankroll |

Re: Multi-table effect
This has been answered about a million times on here and a quick search will find the answer for you.
Basically, if you could play exactly the same at 2 tabels as one you wouldn't need a larger BR; however, most people suffer a loss in their quality of play when multi-tabling which reduces their win-rate from what they could earn playing one table. This isn't enough of a drop to usually make it not worth playing multiple tables, but is enough to create a moderate (prolly around 20-30%) increase in BR requirements. If you want to see some math to back up this statement do a search. |
