Default Search function doesn\'t work. Help please.

Search function doesn't work for me. I enter info and just get the most recent posts regardless of topic. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Either put quotes around your search if you want that specific phrase such as :

"Granny is annoying"

Or you put a + infront of words and that makes it keywords such as :

+Granny +annoying

One thing I found very helpful when searching thread titles is to use -Re: , which basically excludes all the replies to a post. So, if you were searching the forums for information on, say, Bankrolls, it would look like this:

+Bankroll -Re:

Note that the inclusion of the colon prevents subjects where the letters re appear togehter from being excluded, and the + sign in front of Bankroll is necessary (otherwise, every post that doesn't have Re: in the subject would appear on the list.

Hope this helps.

On a more serious note---wouldn't it be a good idea to have a "sticky post" with this info at the top of EACH forum to help newcomers out??????
