It is skin color.

In America it is.

Color/Colour

Favor/Favour

Defense/Defence

Program/Programme (?)

We Americans long ago bastardized the spellings of some words of the English language.

Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea that people in Canada spell differently. I always assumed centre was a mispelling.

NP, always glad to help out a cool cat like TheSaltCracka;-)

I would guess that Center/Centre is probably another good example.

England, India, and many other countries may generally use (or at least prefer) the English spelling of certain words.

I was just [censored] with you, you know that right?

Get back to pointing out all the wholes in Cyrus' stupid posts! The one about how the U.S. is worse than France is cracking me up.

I have an interesting theory about why so many of Cyrus' ideas are so screwy, but given Wacki's response in another thread, I guess I probably shouldn't elaborate.

I support free speech. Regardless of how strongly you guys may feel that homosexuality is normal, it remains an opinion of yours. Science has not resolved the issue, even though some will falsely claim that it has. People forget that psychiatry and psychology are not exact sciences yet.

If someone wants to put out a film with their opinion on this topic, I say lets support their free speech rights to do so.

So it is down to mother: gay gene survives because it boosts fertility

"The genes that make men gay also help their female relatives to have bigger families, according to new research.

Scientists have discovered that gay men’s mothers, sisters and maternal aunts tend to have significantly more children than the norm — and that many of their nephews and male cousins are also gay."

Hello all,

I've long thought that homosexuality is not "natural", however, I also believe that their is nothing "immoral" about what anyones sexual preference is. Morality is pretty much defined by the individual, so to brand someone as immoral is akin to forcing ones morality onto another. Of course, if you throw God or the bible into it you will get into a whole different ball of wax because now you have certain passages which denounce homosexuality. Some Christians have taken this as a good front for their homophobia as they can say that it's an abomination in God's eyes. (Funny how they tend to overlook quite a few other passages that would get them in hot water but the homosexual ones are still pretty much fair game.)
Getting back to whether or not homosexuality is "natural", I honestly don't mean to offend anyone, merely expressing what I see as a logical conclusion. In nature, the act of sex creates babies and in survival, procreation is the name of the game. Does homosexuality occur in nature? Sure. Does it produce offspring? Nope. The article citing the study linking homosexuality with fertility is interesting, but one study won't definitively settle the issue of what biological reason "causes" homosexuality. I'm sure that there will be many other studies saying many other different things about the biology of sexuality but I think we still have quite a bit to learn.
In the mean time try to treat people as homosapiens and not anything less.
