Default Terminology clarification needed

I don't know if I'm in the right forum for this but here goes:

I tally my expection in $/hr. and BB/ hr.
I keep seeing references to XBB/100.
What does that mean?

BB/100 means Big bets / 100 hands.

(Was the 'X' in front of BB just a typo?)

X is a variable. i.e. 1BB/100, 2BB/100

Thanks for the answer.

BB/100 came about as a result of internet poker. Some people play multiple tables simultaineously, some do not. Thus BB/100 was born as a common denominator, since it is pointless for someone playing 6 $15/30 tables at once to compare results with someone playing only one by the marker of BB/hr or $/hr. Two $15/30 players can accurately compare results using the /100 hands marker.
